Signing with your baby is easy to do and you can learn to do it on your own.  Using the Sign Babies Flash Cards and other resources such as the SIGN With Your BABY Complete Learning Kit, you can teach yourself and guide the signing conversation with your baby.

However, taking a class has added benefits that make it worth the nominal costs.  Just about everyone learns best with a coach or mentor.  If you think back to when you learned to drive a car, it was very helpful to have an experienced driver help you and support your efforts.
