| I actually bought the flashcards as a gift for a good friend of mine. They have a 3 year old son who was a "micropreemie". He can hear, but is not vocally communicative. Just recently the SLP's that he is working with decided to try sign language. He picked up on "again" very quickly and uses it in many contexts. I bought them the flashcards to help acilitate the basic family words.
However, I was so impressed with them - I am going to purchase the entire set for our family. I didn't know anything about baby signing until I looked for the cards as a gift. I have a 6 month old son and we are going to begin signing to him. He already calms when I do the sign for milk - it seems like he knows that I am headed toward the rocker to nurse. Amazing.
