I love these cards. I run my own home daycare and use them to decorate the ceiling. The children are pointing up to them and I hold them up and we refresh our memory on the signs. I use the animals to teach old Mcdonald. The children enjoy the pictures and love flipping through them. The children all sign and it is great to know what they want. Their parents are also just as excited to see their children communicating with them.
It would be great if you made some that went along with gardening, beach, travel, camping, dinasours/reptiles( I know you have some of that covered with your animals).
I use the cards and incorporate them into my lesson plans.
I started with your products in December with my son who was almost 10 months old. He is now 14 months and is signing about 25-28 different signs understands even more and speaks about 38-30 words. He is very sharp. I didn\'t think it would happen so quick. He signs that he is hungry, wants to eat bread and bananas and drink his milk. This is before he even gets out of his crib in the morning. So then I sign that we need to change his diaper and put on some clothes and he settles down while I get him ready. I am so pleased, so is the rest of my family. My In-laws are learning sign while he visits with them to understand what he is saying.
It is facinating when we are outside and we hear a dog bark in the distance and my son signs that he hears the dog. He just beams when I acknowlege him and his observation. I think this is something that I would have missed out on if we didn\'t have the cards. They were easy to learn with. The pictures were cute and easy to copy.
